It’s coming folks. Arriving to the town near you, Hailey ID, on Thursday evening June 19, we will kick off a weekend of bike related antics and exploits with The Northen Utah Drag Nationals. Head to head drag race format complete with live music, a hot chic waving the flag and a 50 meter sprint. All you need is a machine with wheels (or one wheel if you unicycle) and the rest will come easy. BBQ fair is onsite to keep the engines fueled. Winner take all.
Following the alcohol funny bike fueled mayhem from Thursday night….Friday night will be no less of an affair.
The Hotdog Hillclimb One Handed Time Trial World Championships. You just read it. Climbing large hills has never been more fun thanks to the addition of a hot dog to your hand. You may switch hands, but you mustn’t drop or damage the dog. Time is stopped once the hot dog has been completed on the other side of the finish line. Refreshments, food, and awards at Wiseguy to follow immediately. Sign in is at Wiseguy on the patio from 6-8 pm. Race starts at 8:00 p.m. sharp. You will get your start time at registration.
Saturday wakes anew with the fizz buzzing out of your ears from the night before. It’s the South Valley Super Epic! A wild adventure to the end of the earth covering several hours worth of mountain biking around the South Valley.
Start: 10:00 a.m. from the Powerhouse.
Sunday is the day we can all take a breather and relax. The Sunday Detox Tour. Casual pace as always. More fun than a tub full of greased rabbits…as always. Plan to ride 3-4 hours. Route will be announced this week as soon as we assess the north valley trail situation.
